Site Background:
Frugal Pinoy started in February 2008, initially as an entry to Pinoy Money Talk’s SEO contest at that time. Although Frugal Pinoy didn’t win, it was the leading site for 3 weeks throughout the duration of the contest.
Since then, Frugal Pinoy has been dedicated to providing practical tips and advice on personal finance.

Why do we do this? Why have this blog in the first place?
First of all, it’s fun. Secondly, there seems to be a lack of information sites about personal finance for the average Pinoy. You know, the ones who aren’t incredibly wealthy and who don’t know enough to be savvy investors. People who just want to know how to get value for their money without spending too much. Frugal Pinoy wants to provide this information because we believe it’s needed.
Lastly, isn’t it refreshing to find a site about money that isn’t cluttered with flashy ads and popups?
